Our Mission

 

Open Door Arts Center is a nonprofit organization consisting of
volunteers whose purpose is to entertain, enrich, and educate by presenting
visual and performing arts to the local community and surrounding areas. We are
committed to supporting original voices through creative projects that reflect
diversity and inclusion. These projects include established and original theatre,
visual art, music, and dance.

We perform at various locations throughout Somerset and Hunterdon Counties. We are seeking a permanent home in Somerville.

Our History

Open Door Arts Center (ODAC) is a collaborative merger of Open Door Productions, an independent arts production company and Oldwick Community Players, a community theatre group to present visual and performing arts in Central New Jersey.

Oldwick Community Players was formed in 1979 to bring live theatre productions and children's acting workshops to Hunterdon County communities and the surrounding area. 

 

Open Door Productions began in 1992 as a collaborative group of artists offering theatre, film, acting workshops, music, and literary projects throughout the NYC/NJ/Philadelphia area.

Open Door Productions merged with Oldwick Community Players to present visual and performing arts in Central New Jersey.
