Open Door's classes invite adults of every experience level into the rehearsal room — to act, to improvise, to write, and to grow alongside working artists.
Open Door Arts Center offers Adult Acting Workshops that teach improvisation, monologues, scene study, script analysis, and character study for beginners to experienced adults of all ages. No experience is necessary.
The workshops also provide a great opportunity to improve public speaking and interpersonal skills.

Build a truthful, repeatable approach to the craft. Scenes, monologues, and ensemble work introduce the basics of script analysis, objective, and moment-to-moment listening.
All levels
Think faster, listen closer, and trust the scene. A high-energy introduction to long-form improv grounded in agreement, status, and storytelling.
Intermediate
Develop new work in a supportive room of writers. Bring a scene, a scene idea, or just a first line — leave with pages and feedback.
